In May 1994, Centastage founded Write On! as a means of providing Boston-area playwrights with a safe meeting place in which to critique each other’s work, stimulate writing, exchange ideas, and provide information on outlets for members’ work. The group is made up of local playwrights and actors who meet once a month to hear and discuss the members' new work. Centastage coordinates the group and there is no cost.

Write On! has helped to bring to life dozens of new plays by Boston-area playwrights; some produced by Centastage, others produced throughout the world, some winning various awards and accolades.
