A rite of passage story written by Boston resident and three time Obie winner Ed Bullins dealing with the relationships of a boy growing into manhood under the positive influence of his surrogate father. Set in the '40's and '50's, this drama of family reaffirmation reveals the strengths of an extended family during perilous times for black youth.
Boston Women on Top
A Festival of one and two women performance pieces
Boston Women on Top
Centastage, in collaboration with Underground Railway Theater, presents a festival of performance pieces written and performed by local women. Throughout the three week festival, a minimum of six contemporary pieces ranging from one act plays to one woman shows were presented - all written and performed by Boston's top women writers and actors. Boston Women on Top was presented as part of the BCA ResCo Series.
